I started painting the French papaya tree in a local nursery on a paint-out with my art group. Then I decided to add a 1967 VW truck and some special tropical cannas and a beach, of course. The title comes from the bobble hula girl on the dashboard behind the open safari windows. To see an inside view with the hula girl see Path to Hidden Beaches.
