In April of 2001 we visited Oaxaca, Mexico, for our first time. We were drawn to the beautiful old colonial buildings, many of which are restored and painted lively colors. These buildings are across the street from the famous Santa Domingo Cathedral. I love all of the colorful bougainvilleas and Canary Island palms. The purplish-blue building is an Argentinean restaurant and the rust colored building is Cafe Gekko, an internet cafe! Old and new juxtaposed! Photo cards and giclées available.
